ANDREW KENDALL FROM SHAW SENTENCED IN SWINDON FOR CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES
In February 2020, Andrew Kendall, a resident of Tamworth Drive in Shaw, appeared before Swindon Magistrates' Court to face charges related to the possession and creation of indecent images of children.The court proceedings revealed that Kendall, aged 65, had pleaded guilty to multiple serious offenses involving child exploitation.
During the hearing, Kendall appeared in court dressed smartly, and he only responded to confirm his personal details, including his name, address, and date of birth.
The court was informed that he had been found in possession of three category B indecent images of children, which are considered serious offenses, as well as one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child.
These images are classified under the UK's legal framework as depicting children engaged in sexual activities or in explicit poses.
As part of his sentencing, Kendall was fined £392.
Additionally, he was placed under a three-year community order.
This order requires him to complete up to 40 rehabilitation activity sessions aimed at addressing his offending behavior.
Furthermore, he was mandated to sign onto the sex offenders' register for a period of five years, a measure designed to monitor and manage his potential risk to the community.
In a further restriction, Kendall is subject to a three-year sexual harm prevention order.
This order prohibits him from using internet-enabled devices unless explicitly permitted under specific circumstances, thereby limiting his access to online content that could facilitate further offenses.
The court's decision underscores the seriousness of his crimes and the ongoing measures to protect the public from potential harm.
