FARNHAM MAN JAILED AFTER ARRANGING TO MEET 11-YEAR-OLD GIRLS FOR SEX IN 'PAEDOPHILE HUNTER' STING

Andrew Field, 24, of Cobbetts Way, agreed to meet two 11-year-old girls for sex but was caught in a 'paedophile hunter' sting.

He admitted attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming at Guildford Crown Court on June 12.

The court revealed how Field messaged two Facebook accounts under the impression they were 11-year-old girls, but they were operated by Shraine Tumber, part of Midland Hunters, a group that hunts sexual predators.

Field tried to cover his tracks by claiming he had a job interview with Royal Mail.

He asked sexual questions about oral sex and whether the girls had lost their virginities, even suggesting they sleep in a wooded area and lie about their age.

When asked where they would sleep that night, he replied: 'Hopefully with me.' He also possessed a 12cm knife and condoms for alleged sexual activity with the 'girls.' Field was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment on each of two counts of attempting to meet a child, to be served concurrently, plus an additional year for possessing a knife, to be served consecutively.

Judge Robert Fraser noted his excuses and fleeing when confronted, emphasizing the seriousness of the case, especially given the weapons he possessed.
