CARMARTHENSHIRE MAN FACES CROWN COURT OVER CHILD SEX CHARGES

A 34-year-old man from Kidwelly has been remanded in custody after appearing before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court, accused of multiple serious child sex offences.

The charges include engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a child, inciting a girl aged between thirteen and fifteen to engage in sexual activity, and engaging in sexual communication with a child.

The offences are alleged to have taken place on May 13, 2024.

Eldred did not enter a plea during his initial hearing on August 22.

The magistrates determined the case was too serious for their court to handle and transferred it to the Crown Court for trial.

He remains in custody until his next court appearance.
