MANCHESTER STUDENT RAPIST SILENCES VICTIMS WITH FINGERS IN THROAT
A RAPIST who preyed on students in a university's bedsit land silenced his victims by ramming his fingers down their throats, a jury was told yesterday.Manchester Crown Court was told Andrew Deen, 19, from Moss Side, Manchester, broke into bedsits and raped three girls.
Prosecutor Mr Howard Bentham stated Mr Deen used an unusual method to silence the victims, pushing his fingers so far into their mouths that on one occasion he scratched the windpipe of one victim.
He also assaulted the victims with a knife and stole from them.
The evidence linking him to these crimes included DNA matching his blood to semen found on one of the victims, making it statistically certain he committed the rapes.
Mr Deen denies three rape charges between February and October 1988.
The trial continues.
