WERRINGTON WOMAN HANDED SUSPENDED PRISON FOR VIOLENT ATTACK ON PARTNER
Owen, from Oak Mount Road in Werrington, pleaded guilty to charges of causing grievous bodily harm and criminal damage.Under her suspended sentence, she must complete a 35-day rehabilitation activity requirement and perform 40 hours of unpaid community work.
Mitigating her case, Scott Ashdown stated that Owen is pregnant and due to give birth in March.
He added that the offence occurred nearly 12 months ago and that she has not reoffended since.
Ashdown also explained that Owen lost her employment following the incident, which has had a punitive impact on her, and she now lives with her new partner.
