AMANDA ADAMS FROM WALCOTT FLEEING JUSTICE IN NORWICH AND IRELAND

Amanda Adams, formerly of Lynton Road in Walcott, Norwich, has gained notoriety for her repeated involvement in animal cruelty cases and her attempts to evade justice. Her troubling history as a pet peddler, backyard breeder, and serial animal abuser has garnered significant attention from authorities and animal welfare organizations alike.

In August 2015, Adams was convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to a three-week-old puppy named Hope. The puppy was left in agony for five days with a fractured rear leg, a clear indication of her neglect and cruelty. This was not an isolated incident; a second dog in her care, a wolfhound named Rina, was found with a large open wound that remained untreated for three days before veterinary intervention was finally sought.

As a consequence of her actions, Adams, who was unemployed at the time, was disqualified from keeping dogs for a period of five years. She was also ordered to pay £500 in legal costs. Despite these penalties, her disregard for animal welfare persisted. Weeks later, an RSPCA inspector, armed with a warrant, visited her property to seize her dogs. During this visit, it was discovered that Adams was passing puppies over a fence in an apparent attempt to circumvent her ban on keeping animals. Additional dogs and puppies were found inside her residence, along with three rabbits living in deplorable conditions within a filthy shed. One of the rabbits was injured, highlighting the ongoing neglect.

For her continued violations, Adams was sentenced to a six-week prison term, suspended for two years. She was also ordered to pay £1,000 in costs and an £80 victim surcharge. Furthermore, she received a ten-year ban on keeping animals. However, she breached this ban again, demonstrating her persistent disregard for the law.

In December 2017, further developments emerged when the BBC reported that Adams had fled to Ireland to escape prosecution. Despite being accused of keeping Irish wolfhounds—despite having two previous banning orders—she failed to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court for a third time. The RSPCA withdrew the charges, citing her absence and describing her as
