DUNDEE MAN TO FACE COURT AFTER CHILD ONLINE SAFETY TEAM STING
A Dundee man, Alric Connor McDonald, is due to appear before Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, following a sting carried out by the Child Online Safety Team, a UK-based paedophile hunter group.McDonald was reportedly confronted by members of the group after being accused of attempting to engage in sexual communication with what he believed to be a child.
The group gathered evidence and passed it to police, leading to his arrest and subsequent prosecution.
The case is being handled by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS).
McDonald will appear in person at 6 West Bell Street, Dundee, where witnesses have also been cited to give evidence.
The defendant remains under investigation pending the outcome of the court proceedings.
