03/09/2025 CARDIFF MAN JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING GIRLS AGED 11 AND 15 Alexander Dale, a 32-year-old man from Adamsdown, Cardiff, has been sentenced to a total of one year and four months in prison after admitting to sexually assaulting two girls aged 11 and 15.The incidents occurred within just two days of each other in October last year.
The first attack involved a 15-year-old girl traveling on a bus in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, on 23 October, where Dale approached her under the pretense of seeking help with his phone and then showed her a text offering £20 to engage in a sexual act, instructing her not to tell anyone.
The second incident involved an 11-year-old girl near a golf club in northern Cardiff, whom he approached while walking her dog, asked for directions, then kissed her on the lips, held her against her will, and pushed her to the ground.
Both girls were left deeply affected, with their mothers reporting anxiety, distress, and a negative impact on their confidence and schoolwork.
Dale was given 16 months for inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and an additional seven months for assaulting the 11-year-old girl, with both sentences running concurrently.
Having already served 10 months on remand, he is expected to be released in about a month.
He is also barred from any unsupervised contact with children under 18 for 10 years to protect the public.
------------------------ A 31-year-old man has appeared in court accused of two sexual crimes involving young girls.
Alexander Dale, of Adamsdown, Cardiff, is accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl as she walked her dog alone in Pontprennau, Cardiff, on 25 October.
He also faces a separate charge of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity following an incident involving a 15-year-old girl on a bus between Barry and Cardiff on 23 October.
He entered no plea at the Cardiff Magistrates Court hearing and will appear at Cardiff Crown Court on 29 November following a full psychiatric assessment.
Mr Dale was denied bail due to the seriousness of the allegations and was remanded in custody until the crown court pre-trial preparation hearing.
