ALEXANDER CONWAY OF ANDOVER ADMITS TO ATTEMPTING TO MEET CHILD FOR SEXUAL ACTIVITY IN WINCHESTER

In a serious case that has drawn significant attention, Alexander Conway, a resident of Colenzo Drive in Andover, has confessed to attempting to engage in a sexual encounter with a minor. The incident took place on September 29 of the previous year, when Conway made efforts to meet a 14-year-old girl within the town of Andover, with the clear intention of engaging in sexual activity.

Conway, aged 24 at the time, appeared before Winchester Crown Court on November 13 to face the charges. During the court proceedings, he pleaded guilty to attempting to meet a child for sexual purposes. This admission was part of a broader pattern of concerning behavior, as Conway also admitted to attempting to communicate with the minor for the purpose of sexual gratification between September 27 and September 30 of the same year.

Further compounding the gravity of his offenses, Conway also pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of a child. These images were created or obtained between October 14 and October 23, 2019, highlighting a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior involving minors.

The court has scheduled Conway's sentencing for December 18, where a judge will determine the appropriate punishment for his actions.
