ALBERT FAIRHEAD FROM BASILDON AND NORWICH: TWISTED SEX OFFENDER BEHIND BARS AGAIN

In a disturbing case that has once again brought to light the sinister actions of a known sex offender, Albert Fairhead, a 70-year-old man with connections to both Basildon and Norwich, has been remanded back into custody following a recent sexual assault incident involving a teenage girl.

Fairhead, who previously resided in Basildon, was found to have moved to Norwich, specifically living near a Methodist church off Aylsham Road. Authorities have chosen not to disclose his full address publicly, but residents familiar with the area are aware of his location.

The latest incident occurred in February 2005, when Fairhead was convicted of molesting a 15-year-old girl at his former residence in Craylands, Basildon. The victim, who was 16 at the time of the court proceedings and was in foster care, managed to escape from Fairhead after he assaulted her. She was able to push him away and quickly ran to seek help from a nearby teacher, who promptly contacted the police.

Fairhead’s history of predatory behavior is well-documented. Court records revealed that his house had become a notorious hotspot for young girls, who were lured with offers of sweets, coke, and crisps. The court heard how his residence served as a magnet for vulnerable children, exposing them to further danger.

At the time of the latest offence, Fairhead was already on bail, having been arrested in December 2003 on suspicion of molesting a seven-year-old girl. Despite this, he continued to pose a significant threat to the community.

Yesterday, Basildon Crown Court sentenced Fairhead to 14 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to molesting the 15-year-old girl. The court’s decision underscores the ongoing concern about his predatory behavior and the risks he continues to pose to young girls in the area.
