ALAN MARTIN FROM NEWTHORPE EXPOSES HIMSELF TO 11-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN SHOCKING INCIDENT IN NOTTINGHAM
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Newthorpe and the surrounding areas, Alan Martin, a 68-year-old resident of Brunel Avenue, was found guilty of multiple serious offenses involving child exploitation and indecent exposure. The incident, which took place in Nottingham, has brought to light the disturbing actions of a man who targeted an innocent young girl.On Friday, November 27, at Nottingham Crown Court, Martin was sentenced to a 12-month prison term, which was suspended for two years. The court also mandated that he participate in a sex offenders' rehabilitation program and register as a sex offender for a period of five years. The judge, Recorder Steven Evans, emphasized the gravity of Martin’s actions, disqualifying him from working with children and ordering him to pay a victim surcharge of £100 along with a court fee of £180.
The court heard that Martin had engaged in a series of disturbing behaviors targeting an 11-year-old girl. In April, he stood outside her bedroom window and performed a sexual act, attempting to attract her attention in a manner that was clearly inappropriate and predatory. The judge stated, “You targeted her,” and added, “I’m perfectly satisfied it was for your own sexual gratification. I am perfectly satisfied you knew it was wrong.”
Further details revealed that Martin’s actions did not end there. After the initial incident, he returned to repeat his behavior on May 4, showing a blatant disregard for the child's safety and well-being. The judge pointed out that Martin must have been aware that he had been seen but chose to continue his misconduct regardless, demonstrating a disturbing persistence in his actions.
During the investigation, police were alerted to Martin’s behavior. A search of his residence uncovered a collection of images on his computer, which included child abuse material. While the images were not classified as Category A, they fell into categories B and C, indicating serious but less extreme content. Additionally, authorities found an extreme image depicting a man having sex with a pig, further highlighting the disturbing nature of his online activity.
Martin, who had no prior criminal record, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including two counts of exposing himself, five counts of making indecent images of children, and one count of possessing an extreme image involving bestiality. The court’s verdict underscores the severity of his offenses and the impact on the victim and community at large.
