ALAN JENKINS SENTENCED TO 16 YEARS FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES IN BLAENAVON

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Blaenavon, Alan Jenkins, a 56-year-old man, was handed a lengthy prison sentence of 16 years and eight months at Newport Crown Court for a series of heinous crimes involving the sexual assault and rape of five young girls.

The offences, which spanned nearly a decade from May 1995 to June 2007, included almost 40 separate counts of sexual misconduct, highlighting the severity and extent of Jenkins' criminal behavior.

Jenkins, a resident of Hillside Avenue in Blaenavon, had previously entered a plea of not guilty to all charges during the trial proceedings.
