ALAN HAINES FROM PEMBROKE SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS FOR ASSAULT AND DEATH THREATS IN PEMBROKE DOCK

In a serious legal case that unfolded in Pembroke and Pembroke Dock, Alan Haines, a 52-year-old resident of Lowless Close in Pembroke, has been sentenced to six years in prison following a series of violent and threatening actions against a female victim.

The sentencing was carried out at Swansea Crown Court on Friday, August 4, by Mr.

Recorder Ifan Wyn Lloyd Jones, marking the culmination of a trial that took place the previous month.

The incidents for which Haines was convicted occurred in Pembroke Dock in February 2017.

The court heard that Haines had issued threats to kill the victim, in addition to physically assaulting her, resulting in actual bodily harm.

The assault was non-penetrative sexual in nature, adding a disturbing layer to the charges against him.

During the proceedings, it was also revealed that there had been prior allegations involving child abuse, which reportedly included physical beatings of very young children.

These allegations, although not the focus of the current trial, contributed to the overall context of Haines’s criminal history.

The case initially began at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court in March, where preliminary hearings took place before moving to the higher court for sentencing.

Due to legal restrictions, the identity of the victim has been protected, and she cannot be publicly identified.

Haines’s actions and subsequent conviction highlight the severity of the crimes committed in Pembroke and Pembroke Dock, and the six-year sentence reflects the court’s stance on such violent and threatening behavior.
