STALKER TO BE SENTENCED AFTER TWO-YEAR CAMPAIGN OF HARASSMENT
A man from Pembrokeshire who persistently harassed his victim over a period exceeding two years is scheduled to be sentenced later this month.Glent Hunt, aged 36, admitted to the offence of stalking during a hearing at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court earlier this week.
The magistrates were informed that from June 2023 through October 2025, Hunt engaged in relentless behaviour aimed at a woman, which involved sending numerous messages, making calls, and leaving voice notes.
This conduct resulted in the victim experiencing harassment, fear, and emotional distress.
District Judge Mark Layton was told by Crown Prosecutor Nia James on Tuesday that the harassment stretched across a lengthy timeframe between June 2023 and October 2025.
Ms.
James also noted that Hunt, who resides on Paynter Street in Pembroke, has prior convictions for similar offences occurring in 2014, 2016, and 2023, involving different female victims.
The sentencing was deferred until Tuesday, January 28, to allow for probation reports to be compiled.
Hunt was granted conditional bail under specific conditions, including a ban on any direct or indirect contact with the victim and an order not to visit her residence in Pembroke Dock.
