EAST LONDON BUS DRIVER ESCAPES JAIL DESPITE EXTREME ANIMAL PORN POSSESSION
A 39-year-old bus driver from Leyton in east London avoided imprisonment after being found in possession of extreme pornographic images featuring animals such as horses, dogs, and chickens. He was detained during a police operation that initially targeted a different matter, leading to the seizure of his laptop.
Authorities uncovered 38 explicit images depicting women engaging in sexual acts with various animals, including a file with a cat.
During an earlier hearing, Alan Chima admitted to possessing these images.
His solicitor, Paul Kaufman, explained that Chima was visibly upset at the police station and felt profound shame for his actions.
He emphasized that Chima believed his conduct was morally wrong but was unaware that it was also against the law.
Kaufman added, 'He was very ashamed and remains so about his behaviour.' In court, Judge David Owen-Jones imposed a sentence of eight months in prison, suspended for two years.
The judge remarked on the disturbing and serious nature of the images, noting that they were especially shocking and had been collected over a considerable period, including a clip approximately 24 minutes long.
Chima was also ordered to perform 120 hours of unpaid work and to surrender his laptop.
Throughout the proceedings, he appeared unemotional, dressed in a shirt and tie.
