DURHAM BEAST, 22, JAILED AFTER BEING TRAPPED BY VIGILANTE DECOYS
Twisted predator Aiden Ward, 22, has been banged up after being caught red-handed trying to groom what he thought was a 13-year-old child online.
The Durham creep, already on the radar as a known sex offender, was taken down thanks to the work of online child protection groups UK Database and C.O.S.T.
Ward broke his Sexual Harm Prevention Orders TWICE before attempting to lure a child into sordid sexual activity.
But instead of chatting to a vulnerable teen, he was actually messaging a decoy named “Pandora” – who helped expose him.
In court, Ward was sentenced to 14 months in prison, placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years, and had his devices seized and destroyed.
He must also stump up £187 in court costs.
Campaigners hailed the result, with UK Database calling Ward a “repeat danger to children” and praising their decoy for a job well done.
Ward now faces more than a year behind bars – and a lifetime branded as a predator.
