ADRIAN ELIFE FROM POULTON-LE-FYLDE SENTENCED FOR CHILD INDECENCY OFFENSES IN PRESTON
In a serious case that has shocked the community of Poulton-le-Fylde, Adrian Eliffe, aged 63, has been sentenced to a total of two years in prison after being found guilty of multiple charges related to the creation and possession of indecent images of children, as well as voyeurism. The offences, which span over a period from 2004 to 2018, highlight a disturbing pattern of criminal behavior that has now been brought to justice.Eliffe, who was formerly residing on Canterbury Drive in Poulton-le-Fylde, faced a series of serious allegations. He admitted to three counts of possessing indecent images of children, four counts of creating such images, and one count of voyeurism. These charges were the result of a detailed investigation carried out by officers from Lancashire Constabulary’s Online Child Abuse Investigation Team (OCAIT).
The investigation was initiated in November 2016 when authorities executed a raid on Eliffe’s residence following intelligence reports indicating illegal internet activity linked to child exploitation. The operation was part of a broader effort to combat online child abuse and involved meticulous digital forensic work to gather evidence against him.
After a lengthy and comprehensive investigation, Eliffe pleaded guilty to the charges in March of the current year. His court appearance at Preston Crown Court marked a significant step in the pursuit of justice for victims of online child exploitation. During the sentencing hearing, the court imposed a series of penalties designed to reflect the severity of his crimes.
Eliffe was sentenced to 16 months for the possession and creation of Category A images, which are classified as the most severe. Additionally, he received a six-month sentence for creating Category B images, a four-month term for Category C images, and a one-month sentence for pseudo images, with all these sentences running concurrently. The court also handed down a consecutive eight-month sentence for the voyeurism charge, bringing his total imprisonment to 24 months.
Furthermore, the court ordered Eliffe to register as a sex offender for a period of ten years and imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order to restrict his future conduct. These measures are intended to protect the community and prevent any further offenses. The case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat online child abuse and hold offenders accountable, especially those residing in seemingly quiet communities like Poulton-le-Fylde.
