WOMAN JAILED FOR FALSE ALIBI IN FIANCÉ'S MURDER

A woman who provided a false alibi for her fiancé, Adam Mann, after he murdered his ex-wife following a Facebook taunt about child support, has been sentenced to prison.

Adam Mann received a life sentence for the murder of Lisa Beverley, a 30-year-old woman killed in her Plumstead home in south London in 2009.

Ms Beverley was beaten with a hammer and then had her neck slashed with a knife.

The evidence showed she had teased Mann on Facebook about paying child support, and her five-year-old son discovered her dead.

Mann was sentenced to a minimum of 24 years for the murder.
