ADAM BUCKENHAM SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ABUSE IN VENTNOR AND ANDOVER
In a case that has shocked the local communities, Adam Buckenham, a 47-year-old man from York Road in Ventnor, has been handed a lengthy prison sentence after being convicted of multiple serious sexual offenses.The crimes involved the sexual abuse and rape of a young girl over a period spanning several years, from 2012 to 2018, during which she was aged between 12 and 18.
The case was brought to trial at Winchester Crown Court, where a jury heard harrowing details of Buckenham’s actions.
The court was informed that he committed eight counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault against the girl, with the incidents occurring on more than one occasion.
The evidence presented painted a disturbing picture of repeated abuse over a six-year period, causing significant trauma to the victim.
Following the trial, Buckenham appeared at Salisbury Crown Court for sentencing on Friday, 14 July.
The judge sentenced him to a total of 15 years in prison, reflecting the gravity of his crimes.
