CONVICTED PAEDOPHILE EXPOSES AND FILMS HIMSELF IN THE STREET WHILE INTOXICATED
A convicted paedophile was caught on camera exposing and touching himself while pulling his top over his head and filming himself.He had previously been discovered with category A indecent images of children and extreme pornographic images.
Aaron Stenning, 37, had been out celebrating his birthday but returned to his home in Abercynon at around 3am on July 31 in a state of intoxication.
He proceeded to pull his shirt over his head and expose himself before masturbating in the street.
A sentencing hearing at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on Friday heard he filmed himself with his mobile phone as he did this.
No one was present in the street but the defendant had been caught on camera which was viewed the next day.
As a result of this he was arrested and questioned.
Prosecutor Hywel Davies said Stenning was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) after he was convicted of possessing category A images of children and extreme pornographic images.
He was made subject to 20 months imprisonment, suspended for 24 months.
On August 8, Stenning was visited by officers and was found to have created a social media account in a name different to his own.
This put him in breach of the SHPO, as he did not notify the police about this account.
Stenning, of Cardiff Road, later pleaded guilty to exposure and breach of a SHPO.
In mitigation, Andrew Davies said his client had cooperated with the order in all other aspects.
The barrister said the defendant had a "difficult childhood" after his mother died when he was 11 years old and he had no contact with his biological father.
He also suffered the death of his grandmother, who he had previously lived with.
Andrew Davies said his client described his offence as a "kink" and enjoyed being naked in public, but understands he cannot do it again.
He is now no longer able to stay in the area he lived due to his offending.
Judge Vanessa Francis sentenced Stenning to a total of 15 weeks imprisonment.
