2015: JAILED: JILTED LOVER WHO THREATENED TO KILL FAMILY DOG
In August last year, Lesley Marshall ended her relationship with Rae Laing.
Laing, from Mallett Crescent in Johnson Fold, was found to be breaching multiple court orders, including both a non-molestation and a restraining order.
These violations led to him being sentenced to 10 months in jail at Bolton Crown Court.
He also issued threats, stating he would leave their young son orphaned and that he would harm the family dog.
Laing pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching restraining orders, one count of breaching a non-molestation order, and an additional charge related to threatening to cause criminal damage.
The court responded by issuing an indefinite restraining order to keep Laing away from Miss Marshall.
Previously, he had received community punishments for similar offenses but continued to ignore court rulings.
