HIGH-RISK CHILD SEX OFFENDER JAILED FOR PERSISTENT COURT ORDER BREACHES
A high-risk child sex offender was brought back to court after violating the conditions of a court order aimed at addressing their deviant behaviour.The offender, Zoe Spooks Hardy, also known by the alias Luke Hardy, had been the subject of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) for five years since October 2022, following a conviction for three counts of making indecent images of children, including eight of the most serious type.Hardy was arrested after police received information about online activity and seized a mobile phone.
The police identified Hardy using three different aliases on online platforms, including a dating site where one was named ZHSpooks2k, an email account under a female name, and the Clash of Clans game under the alias ZoeH1337.
Hardy admitted to using these aliases during police interview.Hardy had previous offences related to making indecent images of children and had further breaches of the SHPO.
In 2023, Hardy was found to have violated the court order by deleting internet history and removing dating applications from their mobile device.Later, Hardy received a suspended sentence for another breach after downloading apps like Grindr, Kik, Growlr, and Tinder.
Hardy, residing on Yarm Lane, Stockton, pleaded guilty to three breaches of the SHPO following arrest in Bishop Auckland.
Judge Richard Clews sentenced Hardy to eight months imprisonment for breaching the SHPOs, and an additional month for activating part of previous suspended sentences.
The judge described Hardy's breaches as persistent and deliberate.
