Demand That David Graham’s Cooks Café Gives Back to the Community

Disgraced former Labour councillor David Graham, recently convicted of child sexual offences, continues to receive public money despite his suspension from the Labour Party. Since his suspension, Graham has been paid more than £42,000 in council allowances — all while failing to properly represent his constituents or attend full council meetings in person. In addition to his role as a councillor, Graham is the owner of Cooks Café in Methil. Given the scale of public outrage and the fact that this money has been paid from public funds during his suspension, it is only right that Graham uses these ill-gotten earnings to give something back to the community he has betrayed. We, the undersigned, call upon David Graham and Cooks Café to donate the equivalent of £42,000 worth of food and drink to the families of Methil who are most in need. This donation should be distributed fairly, transparently, and in partnership with local food banks, community kitchens, and charities. Such an act would not undo the harm caused, nor erase his crimes, but it would serve as a tangible gesture towards repairing some of the damage inflicted upon this community. The people of Methil deserve more than silence and inaction — they deserve to see accountability and restitution.
