YOUNG OFFENDER BITES PREGNANT GIRLFRIEND AND BRINGS COURT SHOCK
A man named Zach Skeech has been involved in multiple violent incidents.
He previously assaulted his then 17-year-old girlfriend, which included slapping her in the face, punching her around six times, and biting her on the neck, causing her to bleed, with injuries described as 'relatively minor'.
Skeech also shot her with a BB gun during an incident in April 2023 and left her a threatening Snapchat message saying, "I'm going to say this once.
Slag my sister, come down here.
I'll get my family and we'll all stab you." He also sent a threatening message stating, "I will come and find you and kill you." Skeech's violent behaviors have led to his breach of a community order issued in December 2023 for prior offences, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm and malicious communications.
During sentencing, Judge Denis Watson KC criticized his conduct as disgraceful and noted his troubled background, including witnessing domestic violence and having a disrupted childhood.
Skeech admitted to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, a malicious communications offence, and breaching a community order.
He was handed a three-year community order with 150 hours of unpaid work, a rehabilitation requirement, a programme requirement, and a mental health treatment requirement.
Skeech also received a restraining order banning contact with his ex-girlfriend McCarthy for four years, and he expressed that he did not intend to seek a new relationship upon release, stating, "I'm not going to get a girlfriend when I get out."
