ABERDEEN MASSEUR JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS ON FEMALE CLIENTS
Two female customers of an Aberdeen masseur have been left severely traumatised after he sexually assaulted them on the massage table.Yu Tang Wang, 76, targeted the women in separate attacks, carried out two years apart, at his George Street clinic.In one incident, his victim froze in horror as Wang, an elderly man, removed her modesty towel and started licking her genital area.The second victim, attacked during a lunch break massage session, was so traumatised that she contacted a rape charity for counselling.Wang, who was in denial about the offences, has been jailed for more than four years.Details of offencesWang was the joint owner of the Herbal Clinic on George Street, working as a masseur alongside his wife.He offered walk-in massages in a curtained area inside the shop.
No longer employed there, Wang had previously been listed as a Chinese doctor.His first victim was a woman who visited the clinic between 2015 and 2022, and on July 12, 2022, during a lunch break, the victim paid for a 15-minute massage.
She was instructed to remove her upper clothing and lie face down on the table.
Wang entered with oils and began massaging her, during which he pressed his erect penis against her arm, continuing to rub it against her throughout the session.
She was left feeling embarrassed and quickly dressed to leave, then contacted friends and Rape Crisis for support.The second attack occurred on September 29, 2024, when Wang was alone in the shop.
The second woman removed her clothing, lay on the table, and was massaged.
During the session, Wang touched her breasts accidentally, then proceeded to sexually assault her by removing her modesty towel, licking her genital area, and inserting fingers into her vagina.
The woman demanded Wang stop and left quickly when Wang’s wife returned, witnessing Wang arguing with him outside.Wang’s solicitor indicated he now accepts guilt, citing memory problems and denial, though victims suffered significant psychological impacts.
Sheriff Graham Buchanan sentenced Wang to four years and two months imprisonment, placed him on the sex offenders register, and imposed an indefinite non-harassment order preventing contact with the second victim.
