HUSBAND JAILED AFTER BATH ATTACK
A husband who tried to drown his wife in the bath was jailed for 27 months at Livingston Sheriff Court.William McQueen, 41, grabbed Catherine Lister by the legs, forcing her head under the water.
McQueen pled guilty to carrying out the attack in homes they shared in Linlithgow and Livingston between December 2002 and December 2003.
The prosecution accepted the assault to injury did not endanger Mrs Lister's life, as was originally alleged.
McQueen also pled guilty to injuring a boy, then aged 12 or 13, by striking him on the body with martial arts weapons.
