SUNDERLAND MAN ADMITS POSSESSING EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY AND PROHIBITED IMAGES OF A CHILD
A man from Sunderland has pleaded guilty to a string of offences including making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child.
William Lindsay, 66, admitted three charges of making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child, on or between March 18, 2015, and December 10, 2019.
These included category A images and videos- the most serious category - as well as category B and category C images and videos.
He also pleaded guilty to one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image and one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child both on August 5, 2019.
During the brief hearing at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning, Lindsay spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth, address, and guilty pleas.
The court heard that because there are category A images and videos involved the case must be sent to the crown court for sentencing.
Lindsay, who previously lived on Lawnswood, Houghton-le-Spring but now lives in Washington, was granted unconditional bail to appear at Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday, November 24.
