William Chalkley, a 40-year-old man from Crewkerne, has been convicted of a series of heinous sexual offenses that spanned several years, beginning in 2015. The charges against him include multiple counts of rape, assault by penetration, sexual assault, as well as controlling and coercive behavior that caused significant harm to two women. The case was brought to a close after a trial held in March at Taunton Crown Court, where the evidence against Chalkley was thoroughly examined and presented.
