EX-TEACHER JAILED AFTER ADMITTING CHILD SEX ABUSE

William Caton, a man previously employed as a teacher, has been convicted and sentenced for sexual offenses involving a girl under the age of 16.

He confessed to four charges of inciting a minor to participate in sexual acts and three charges of engaging in sexual activities with a child.

The 28-year-old resident of Rose Lane, Diss, Norfolk, received a five-year prison sentence from Ipswich Crown Court on Friday.

Additionally, he is now required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.

Caton, whose offences all related to one victim, a girl under 16, was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years.
