WILLIAM BRADLEY SENTENCED IN REDDITCH FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON CHILD
In a serious case that has shocked the Redditch community, William Bradley, aged 58, was sentenced to a total of three years and four months in prison after admitting to committing a sexual assault and performing a sex act in front of a young girl under the age of 13.The incident took place in Redditch on June 17 of this year, and the case was brought before Worcester Crown Court.
Prosecutor Christophe Lester detailed the events, stating that Bradley, who does not have a fixed address, carried out the assault in Redditch.
The young girl involved confided in her mother about what had happened, which prompted her mother to report the incident to the authorities.
Following the report, Bradley voluntarily surrendered himself to the police, demonstrating some level of remorse or acknowledgment of his actions.
During the court proceedings, Judge Nicolas Cartwright acknowledged that Bradley had no prior convictions of a similar nature, which was a factor considered during sentencing.
However, the judge emphasized the severity of the crime and the need for ongoing protection measures.
As part of his sentence, Bradley was ordered to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life, a requirement that aims to monitor and prevent further offenses.
Additionally, Bradley was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order, which restricts his contact with girls under the age of 16.
This order is designed to mitigate the risk of reoffending and to safeguard vulnerable minors in the community.
The court's decision reflects the seriousness with which such offenses are treated and the importance of protecting children from potential harm.
In total, William Bradley was sentenced to 40 months in prison, a sentence that underscores the gravity of his actions and the community's need for justice and safety.
