WARREN LEESSE FROM LONGPORT SENTENCED FOR CHILD INDECENT IMAGE OFFENSES IN COURT
Warren Leese, a resident of Longport, has been implicated in a series of serious criminal activities involving the possession of indecent images of children.The case came to light after police investigations revealed disturbing evidence found at his home.
Leese was arrested following online communications with an individual posing as a woman named Kimberley, who was actually an undercover police officer.
During these conversations, Leese allegedly discussed plans to visit Kimberley and commit sexual abuse against her children while she watched, a conversation that significantly contributed to the case against him.
Authorities conducted a thorough search of Leese’s residence in Longport, where they confiscated two laptops, a hard drive, and a mobile phone.
The digital devices contained a total of 496 indecent images, categorized into various levels of severity, including categories A, B, and C.
In addition to these, investigators discovered other prohibited and extreme images, further underscoring the gravity of his offenses.
The court was informed that Leese pleaded guilty to possessing these indecent images, which included at least one moving image, along with other prohibited and extreme pornographic material.
Leese’s sentencing was handed down in court, where he received an 18-month prison sentence, though it was suspended for two years.
As part of his punishment, he was also ordered to participate in a 25-day rehabilitation program and complete 200 hours of unpaid community service.
The presiding judge emphasized the disturbing nature of the case, expressing concern over the potential harm to victims and the risk of reoffending.
The court also imposed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order on Leese and mandated his registration on the Sex Offenders' Register for a decade.
