ABUSIVE MATERIAL LEADS TO 14-YEAR PRISON SENTENCE
The case began with the discovery of an abusive video on an outdated mobile device, which ultimately resulted in a 14-year prison sentence for Warren Conn.In January 2026, Conn was taken into custody after a woman discovered a 25-minute video showing him sexually assaulting her years earlier while he was living in Sandwich.
She did not recall producing the recording and had never given permission for the sexual acts seen in the clip.
A comprehensive digital forensic examination revealed additional videos that confirmed Conn had raped her.
Authorities from the Police Service of Northern Ireland arrested him at his residence in County Armagh, where he had returned after residing in Kent.
During the search, police recovered two mobile phones and a laptop.
These devices were seized and transferred to Kent Police’s Digital Forensics Unit, which uncovered numerous indecent images of children.
Conn was handed over to Kent Police officers by the PSNI in Belfast and was transported back to Kent to continue the investigation.
The 50-year-old was held in custody and faced charges of 15 sexual offenses, including rape and possession of indecent images of children.
After two days of interviews, he confessed to the crimes and pled guilty to all charges.
On 28 May 2026, Conn, formerly of Kings Park Mews in Lurgan, was sentenced in Canterbury Crown Court to a sentence of 14 years in prison.
