HULLDAILY MAIL: SEX OFFENDER VINCE MCALLISTER JAILED FOR CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES

Online predator Vince McAllister, aged 42, from Ferry View, Thorngumbald, near Hedon, was sentenced to three years in prison after he pleaded guilty to multiple charges including attempting to communicate sexually with a child, engaging in sexual communication with a child, and making indecent images of children.

The police uncovered a large collection of indecent images and videos stored systematically across multiple folders, indicating a high level of interest.

The investigation was triggered when police executed a search warrant at McAllister's home on June 14, 2021, and found evidence of numerous child abuse images, including 44 Category A images and 125 videos, as well as other material in categories B and C.

During the investigation, McAllister engaged in sexualized online conversations with what he believed was a 12-year-old girl, but was actually an undercover officer.

These chats lasted nearly four months, from August 29 to December 23, 2024, and involved the exchange of intimate images which became increasingly explicit.

McAllister was arrested again on January 12, 2025, during which police traced his online activity to him through his use of social media platforms under an anonymous pseudonym.

He admitted to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor and expressed some remorse for his actions, which were done without previous convictions.

He was remanded in custody, and upon sentencing, was given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and mandated to register as a sex offender for life.
