PICTURES SHOW APPALLING CONDITIONS WHERE WOMAN LEFT HER DOGS TO STARVE TO DEATH
The RSPCA prosecuted Victoria Blood who left four dogs to starve to death in her kitchen at a home in County Durham.Owner Blood admitted she hadn't fed the dogs for about four weeks, after they died at her property on Collingwood Street, Coundon.
The remains of two of the animals, two Belgian Malinois named Angel and River, a Cocker Spaniel called Jax, and a Jack Russell called Binks, were found in the kitchen in a 'thick slurry of faeces.' Blood had moved out in January 2025 but kept returning to feed the animals until she stopped about four weeks before they were discovered.
At Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court, she received a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 24 months, was disqualified from keeping animals for life, and ordered to a 24-month community order with mental health support.
