The lengthy investigation revealed that Burton had committed multiple sexual offenses against minors as young as eight years old, spanning a period of more than two decades.According to court proceedings at Bristol Crown Court, Burton was found to have recorded himself engaging in sexual acts with two of his young victims. These disturbing recordings played a crucial role in the case, as police were able to trace the videos back to him. The investigation was initiated after authorities seized a copy of an obscene child-sex video during a raid, which ultimately led to Burton’s arrest.

Following this breakthrough, law enforcement officers conducted a search of Burton’s caravan home located at Chalcombe Park, Down Road, Portishead. During this search, they confiscated a variety of illicit materials, including photographs and videos depicting child abuse, as well as a mannequin doll resembling a young child, which was found in a shop.
