BERMUDA CITIZEN TROY KING JAILED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ASSAULT
A violent thug who whipped his girlfriend with a dog lead was kicked out of court after declaring "she's lying judge".Troy King, aged 34, has a history of domestic violence against women and is a Bermuda citizen.
He violently beat his partner, Antoinette Porter, threatened to drown her in the bathtub, and even tried to force medication into her mouth.
During the court proceedings, he insulted the judge and was disruptive, leading to his removal from the courtroom.
Court reports detailed how King assaulted Ms.
Porter on multiple occasions, including slapping her in the face, kicking her, punching her, and whipping her with a dog lead.
The victim described her experience as turning her world upside down, leading to nightmares and emotional distress.
The court heard King has 13 convictions for 33 offences in both the UK and Bermuda, including multiple assaults causing actual bodily harm and common assault.
Previously, he was jailed in 2022 for three years and ten months for similar violent behaviors during a short-term relationship and was on licence at the time of recent crimes.
The judge noted a pattern of controlling and violent behavior, emphasizing King's propensity for quick relationships turned violent.
He received a four-year and three-month sentence and a 15-year restraining order after conviction.
King also has a history of physical abuse in childhood, with a violent father who beat his mother, and suffers from PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
He is set to return to Bermuda, where his family resides, seeking a new start.
