THOMAS NICHOLSON FROM SKELMORLIE ESCAPES PRISON AFTER SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN KILMARNOCK
In a case that has shocked the local community of Skelmorlie and the surrounding areas, Thomas Nicholson, aged 71, faced the courts in Kilmarnock after admitting to serious sexual offences involving a young girl under the age of 13.The incident, which took place in July 2015, involved disturbing acts that have left a lasting impact on the victim and have raised concerns about safeguarding and child protection in the region.
According to court records, Nicholson deliberately exposed his genitals to a 12-year-old girl with the intent of deriving sexual pleasure from the act.
This act of indecent exposure was followed by a more heinous crime, as Nicholson proceeded to sexually molest the young girl, engaging in inappropriate and unlawful contact with her while she was naked.
The details of the offences were presented during the sentencing hearing at Kilmarnock Crown Court, where the gravity of the crimes was acknowledged by the judge.
