SUFFOLK MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES AFTER APP INVESTIGATION
Thomas King, residing on Stonham Road in Mickfield, was given a sentence after authorities found hundreds of inappropriate images of a teenage girl on his mobile device.
He pleaded guilty to nine charges, which included creating and sharing indecent images of a minor, engaging in sexual conversations with a young girl, and trying to persuade a girl aged 13 to 15 to perform sexual acts.
He was sentenced to 16 months in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid community service along with 15 days of rehabilitation programs.
Furthermore, he was subject to a sexual harm prevention order that prohibits him from using the internet to contact female minors and will be on the sex offenders register for a decade.
The case came to light when the victim’s mother found her daughter communicating with King via Snapchat and Wizz app, where King falsely claimed to be 15 years old.
The court was informed that King encouraged the girl to send explicit images and videos, and he also sent indecent images of himself.
