TERENCE WEBSTER, SCOTS SEX OFFENDER, JAILED AFTER FLEEING TO GREECE

A 66-year-old sex offender, Terence Webster, who absconded to Greece to evade justice, has been sentenced to jail. His crimes included sexually assaulting a young girl in Oakley and committing a similar offence in Spain. Webster was located in Greece and extradited back to Scotland for a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court. In August, he was found guilty on three charges following the trial.

The offences include an incident between July 21 and August 4, 2014, at an address in Alicante, Spain, where he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl. Additionally, on March 23 or 24, 2019, at an address in Oakley, he sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl. Between January 1, 2016, and September 30, 2018, Webster assaulted a boy aged 11 or older on multiple occasions at addresses in Falkland, Oakley, and other locations. His acts included poking the boy on the forehead, grabbing him by the neck and clothing, and slapping him.

His defense solicitor, Amy Allan, explained that Webster went to Greece due to "difficulties in the local community" stemming from the court case. He was captured in Greece in October last year. Sheriff Susan Duff sentenced Webster to three years in prison and ordered him onto the sex offenders register for an indefinite period.
