TEON BICKLEY FROM ASPLEY SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE IN NOTTINGHAM

In a case that has shocked the local community of Nottingham, a 26-year-old man named Teon Bickley, residing on Allendale Avenue in Aspley, has been handed down a prison sentence of seven years and two months for the serious crime of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

The incident came to light in November 2017 when authorities responded to reports of a disturbance at Bickley's residence. Upon arrival, officers found the young girl at the scene and quickly became concerned for her welfare. The investigation revealed that Bickley had engaged in sexual activity with the minor, leading to his arrest and subsequent court proceedings.

Initially, Bickley denied any involvement in sexual contact with the girl. However, during the trial, which took place at Nottingham Crown Court, he changed his plea on the second day, admitting to four counts of sexual activity with a child. In addition to these charges, he also pleaded guilty to one count of criminal damage, which was linked to the destruction of property during the incident.

Following his conviction, the court imposed several protective measures. A Restraining Order was issued to prevent Bickley from approaching the victim and her family, ensuring their safety. Furthermore, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was granted, containing specific conditions designed to monitor and control his behaviour after his release from prison.

Detective Constable Chris Taylor, a member of Nottingham’s Child Abuse Investigation Unit, commented on the case, describing Bickley as a dangerous and violent individual. He emphasized that Bickley's actions extended beyond the sexual assault, noting that he also caused damage to the house during the disturbance. Detective Taylor further stated that Bickley displayed arrogance and aggression during his police interview and showed no remorse for his actions, highlighting the severity of his conduct and the ongoing threat he poses.
