Peterborough Sexual Abuser
A 34-year-old man from Bretton, Peterborough, named Tabarik Hussain, has been handed an 18-year prison sentence after conviction on various sexual offenses. Evidence presented in court showed that Hussain secretly recorded himself sexually interacting with a woman while she was asleep and unable to consent. He also admitted to communicating sexually with a minor, though he denied additional charges including two counts of rape, three counts of voyeurism, two assaults on a girl under 13 involving touching, as well as making indecent photographs of a child and harassment. Hussain was detained in 2023 after a girl confided in an adult, leading authorities to confiscate and examine his phone. This investigation uncovered videos involving the woman as well as 18 indecent images and videos of children. During trials at Peterborough Crown Court in April and November, Hussain was convicted on all counts. His arrest followed reports of a child sexual assault where he sent exploitative messages and images to the victim before assaulting her twice at her residence. Law enforcement agencies commended the victims’ courage in facing lengthy legal proceedings to secure justice. The verdict underscores the seriousness of Hussain’s offenses and the substantial prison term, marking an important step in efforts to protect vulnerable individuals from similar threats.
