SCHOOL MATRON JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING BOY
2019.
A former school staff member has been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy.
Susan Bramwell, 58 years old, committed these offences at a school in Ripon during the 1980s.
North Yorkshire Police stated she abused the child over approximately six months.
The victim revealed this disturbing experience to his wife in 2000.
In 2018, Bramwell was reported to authorities after her victim, who is kept anonymous, read about a similar incident in the media.
Bramwell, who lives in Sycamore Close, Endmoor, Cumbria, admitted to two counts of gross indecency and two counts of indecent assault against a minor under 14.
She appeared before York Crown Court, where she received a sentence of two years and eight months imprisonment and was ordered to be on the sex offenders' register for life.
