A man identified as Stuart Thomas Hatherwood, aged 61 and a resident of Yateley, has been convicted for possessing and distributing a large collection of explicit images involving minors. He was found to have committed serious offenses, including owning over 700 indecent pictures depicting children being raped, tortured, and sexually abused. Investigators discovered a total of 1,148 obscene photos on two of his mobile devices and two personal computers, with 261 classified as Category A, indicating the most severe level of harm. Stuart Thomas also disseminated ten explicit images and was accused of three instances involving inappropriate photographs of minors or simulated imagery, alongside seven counts of possessing illicit pornographic images. He admitted guilt on all charges and was sentenced to a cumulative term of 30 months in prison at Winchester Crown Court on 22 August. Furthermore, he is subject to an ongoing Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must adhere to lifelong registration requirements.
