DUNS MAN FINED FOR OFFENSIVE FACEBOOK MESSAGE TO EX-PARTNER
A DUNS man who left an offensive message on Facebook Messenger to his former partner has been fined £400 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Thirty-nine-year-old Stuart McNeish pleaded guilty to the offence, which happened at Pease Bay Caravan Park, Cockburnspath, on October 12.
The court was told the message contained threatening comments and the matter was reported to the police.
Defence lawyer Liam Alexander said it happened at the end of the couple’s relationship, which his client had taken badly as possessions which belonged to him had been taken from the house, including a car.
McNeish, of Blackburn Cottages, had turned to alcohol which had prompted him sending the messages which he now regretted.
