STUART ERSKINE OF KIRKCALDY COURT IN DUNFERMLINE COURT CASE

A woman from Dunfermline received a barrage of messages from her ex-partner, Stuart Erskine, a 33-year-old resident of Cheviot Road, Kirkcaldy. Erskine appeared before Dunfermline Sheriff Court after admitting to a pattern of abusive behavior that took place between March 30 and May 4, 2021, at Duthac Court, Dunfermline, and other locations. His actions included repeatedly sending social media messages to his former partner, her mother, and her sister. He also claimed to have attempted self-harm and sent flowers to her home, in addition to visiting her there on one occasion. Sheriff Lindsay Foulis described the social work report on Erskine as "concerning." His defense acknowledged that "there are certainly issues with Mr Erskine," leading the sheriff to defer sentencing to allow for a social work report and further psychological assessment.
