ABERDEEN MAN PLACED ON SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER AFTER EXPOSING HIMSELF TO PENSIONER
A pensioner has been placed on the sex offenders register after exposing himself to an elderly woman he met at church.
Steven Skinner, of Monarch Terrace, Aberdeen, was found to have exposed his genitals to his victim when she invited him into her home for coffee.
The woman, in her 80s, described the incident as "disgusting" and said she was "upset and alarmed" by his behavior.
The incident occurred on July 4, after they had developed a friendship through church activities, which included lunch and shopping trips.
Skinner had been invited to return a jacket, and after making coffee, he exposed himself.
He later told police he had felt "an urge".
Skinner pleaded guilty in Aberdeen Sheriff Court to exposing himself in a sexual manner, and the sheriff placed him on the sex offenders register and deferred sentencing for a risk assessment and social work report.
He is set to reappear in court on October 3, and he must not approach the woman involved.
