Kelty Domestic Abuser
A woman was subjected to repeated physical assaults by her partner during an incident in Kelty. Steven Dall, aged 33, of Windmill Knowe, Crossgates, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court to be sentenced after admitting to assaulting his partner on 12th January at Netherton Gardens. The court was told that he struck her several times on the head with his hand, punched her repeatedly, and pulled her by the hair, resulting in injuries. The assault happened when both were in a seemingly good mood, but Dall unexpectedly slapped his partner across the face, an unprovoked attack that shocked her and triggered further violence, including more slaps, punches, and pulling her onto the floor. Dall shouted at her to leave, leaving her extremely distressed. His solicitor noted that the couple remains together and that Dall has limited memory of the incident. Dall, who admitted to having issues with alcohol, was described as remorseful. Sheriff Susan Duff sentenced him to a community payback order involving one year of supervision and 180 hours of unpaid work.
