WALLASEY MAN GETS LIFE FOR MURDERING WIFE AT HOME
Steven Cleary, a resident of Wallasey, has been handed a life imprisonment sentence following his admission of guilt for the murder of his wife, Anne Marie Cleary.The tragic event took place in their residence on Oarside Drive in Wallasey on August 13.
Mrs.
Cleary, aged 41 and a mother of two children, was fatally wounded after being stabbed multiple times by her spouse.
The family shared their grief, stating, "Anne Marie was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many, and her memory will stay with us forever." At Liverpool Crown Court, Steven Cleary received a sentence requiring him to serve a minimum of 15 years before being eligible for parole.
The court took into account the violent nature of the stab wounds and his guilty plea, which contributed to the substantial penalty.
