In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the quiet community of Church Broughton, Steven Burn, a 53-year-old resident of Main Street, was found guilty of possessing a significant collection of indecent images of children.

The incident, which spanned from September 30, 2011, to June 27, 2014, involved the possession of 31 category C indecent images of minors, along with an additional 34 prohibited images, highlighting the severity of the offense.

Burn appeared in court where he faced the consequences of his actions.

The court ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and costs amounting to £85.

Additionally, he was mandated to participate in a sex offender treatment program, which will last for 110 days, as part of his rehabilitation process.
