Aylesbury Sexual Abuser
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Aylesbury and the surrounding areas, Stephen McMillan, a 26-year-old serving police officer, has been found guilty of multiple serious charges related to the possession, distribution, and creation of indecent images, as well as grooming a minor. The incidents came to light through investigations that revealed a pattern of criminal behavior involving the officer, who resided in Viridian Square, Aylesbury.

On July 4th, McMillan was sentenced to a total of 12 weeks in prison, though this sentence was suspended for two years. Additionally, he was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for a period of five years and was required to pay costs amounting to £600. These penalties followed his guilty plea to all charges during a hearing held on June 7th.

The charges against McMillan included one count of making an indecent photograph of a child, which related to an incident between August 19 and September 14, 2014. He also pleaded guilty to distributing an indecent image during the same period. Further, he admitted to inciting a child to participate in pornography and to possessing an extreme pornographic image. The victim, a young woman, had met McMillan through the social media dating app Tinder. During their interaction, McMillan filmed her performing a sexual act and subsequently shared an indecent image of her with three of his friends.

The police investigation uncovered that McMillan was in possession of additional extreme pornographic images on his mobile device. The Metropolitan Police Service, which is responsible for the investigation, has since suspended him from duty as a police officer, reflecting the gravity of his misconduct.

In a related but separate case from June 2016, McMillan faced further allegations involving grooming a 15-year-old girl via Tinder. Court proceedings revealed that he had engaged in inappropriate communication with the minor, who had agreed to send him an explicit image of her breasts. McMillan then shared this image with three friends. The court also learned that he possessed an extreme pornographic image of a woman performing oral sex on a horse, which was found on his phone during his arrest.

The magistrates at High Wycombe Magistrates Court heard how McMillan had admitted to four charges, including inciting a minor to engage in prostitution or pornography, distributing an indecent image of a child, and possessing a graphic image involving bestiality. The court was informed that the girl, who was only 15 at the time, had taken an overdose amid the distress caused by these events. McMillan’s actions are part of a broader investigation known as Operation Royce, which involves eight men charged with sex offenses against the same girl.

Magistrate Neil Arnold described the offenses as 'extremely serious,' emphasizing the gravity of the crimes committed by McMillan and his co-defendants. All involved individuals appeared before the court and were released on conditional bail, with strict orders not to contact the victim. The sentencing for the grooming and related offenses is scheduled for July 4th, and the case continues to draw significant attention from law enforcement and the local community.
